The new ECHO CS-610 - Stage 2 compliant for a cleaner environment

Cleaner, reliable and more powerful… the new ECHO CS-610 looks to have it all. So what makes this chainsaw so different?

ECHO have always been at the forefront of innovation ever since they launched their first saw in 1963. The Japanese/American company prides itself on leading the way in designing and manufacturing products that are kinder to the environments that they are designed to work in. Wherever possible, ECHO strive to beat the ever tightening emission regulations but without compromising performance. In fact, since 1997, most ECHO models have achieved at least an 85% reduction in engine emissions.

The new CS-610 is the latest example of ECHO’s technological advancement. This chainsaw is Stage-2 compliant and yet more powerful that its predecessor. It is better balanced and more reliable. So how have ECHO achieved this?

The new G-Force Air Pre-Cleaner is one advancement that has the industry talking. With this new technology, engine air is spun around and around eliminating dirt and debris BEFORE it enters the air filter. This flow causes cleaner air to pass through the filter whilst ejecting unwanted material from the air chamber. Maintenance intervals are increased and engine wear is reduced.

Engine durability is improved further with the addition of a chrome plated cylinder and a die-cast crank case. The CS-610 has been designed to be used each and every day over a very long working life.

3kW of power has been squeezed from the modestly sized 59.8cc engine. A range of bar options (45, 50 or 60cm) means that it can be used for a variety of applications. From general forestry operations to large timber sectioning, the CS-610 will prove to be a valuable tool for any arborist.

The ECHO CS-610 is available from March. Prices from £599 Ex-VAT (SRP)
