ECHO’s CS-280TES Reaches New Heights

ECHO’s CS-280TES top handle chainsaw is built for professionals. It has been ergonomically designed to provide operators with control and manoeuvrability whilst maintaining a high degree of comfort – even when used in a difficult working environment.

Unlike other saws on the market, the CS-280TES features a unique ‘wrap-around’ handle which is sloped back towards the operator’s body. This design provides the operator with a higher-degree of control.

The weight of the saw has not been compromised to accommodate this new feature. It has near-perfect weight distribution which provides excellent balance and it is light enough to be used through-out the day without causing excessive fatigue for the operator.

It has a new stage-2 emission compliant 26.9cc engine. With an output of 1.04kW the CS-280TES is 20% more powerful than its predecessor (CS-260TES).

The chainsaw’s air filter is positioned away from dirt and debris. This provides better filtration and ultimately improves engine performance. Access to the filter is easy and tool-free, even when the operator is wearing gloves.

All ECHO power tools come with a two year warranty for professional use (registration of ECHO products and servicing are necessary to validate the warranty).

The ECHO CS-280TES top handle chainsaw is £340.83 (ex- VAT) and is available for trained operators only.

Blown Away by an ECHO Shred 'N' Vac®

In preparation for the arrival of autumn, ECHO sponsored gardening blog, ‘The Gardener’s Journal’
ran a free prize draw to win an ECHO ES-250ES Shred 'N' Vac®.

The lucky winner was Mrs Griffiths of Solihull, who contacted the ECHO team as soon as she received her prize. She said, “My husband is absolutely thrilled with the ECHO ES-250ES. His first comment on opening it was, ‘Excellent, it's a petrol power blower. This means no cables to get entangled. I'll be able to give our electric one away to my daughter and son-in-law now.’”

With leaves now starting to fall and debris being scattered by the winds, now is the perfect time to invest in the versatile ECHO Shred 'N' Vac®.

With this one machine, you can blow, vacuum and shred leaves. Fitted with a premium grade 2-stroke 25.4cc engine, it is more powerful than an electric blower.

The ES Easy Start system means the engine can be started quickly with minimum effort required from the operator. With the EZ lock™ feature, the blower pipe is securely locked to the machine, and is also simple to attach and disconnect.

Independent Review: The ECHO DHC-30 Hedge Trimmer

Product Review of the ECHO DHC-30 Battery Powered Hedgetrimmer by Chris Crowder, Head Gardener of Levens Hall near Kendal in the Lake District, and author of “The Garden at Levens”.

The ECHO DHC-30
I have been Head Gardener for over twenty years at Levens Hall - home of the world's best, oldest and most extensive collection of topiary and hedges.
Over the years I have tried and tested most of the professional hedge trimmers on the market. We spend over six months each year, every year clipping, so the tools we use must be the best !
I was excited, yet a little dubious, when I first heard of the ECHO battery powered trimmers. We have investigated in other battery units before, and although it’s a great idea in theory, all proved to be designed for the domestic market. Not so the ECHO DHC-30s however... I have been thrilled by them, and cannot recommend them highly enough!

The new ECHO CS-610 - Stage 2 compliant for a cleaner environment

Cleaner, reliable and more powerful… the new ECHO CS-610 looks to have it all. So what makes this chainsaw so different?

ECHO have always been at the forefront of innovation ever since they launched their first saw in 1963. The Japanese/American company prides itself on leading the way in designing and manufacturing products that are kinder to the environments that they are designed to work in. Wherever possible, ECHO strive to beat the ever tightening emission regulations but without compromising performance. In fact, since 1997, most ECHO models have achieved at least an 85% reduction in engine emissions.

The new CS-610 is the latest example of ECHO’s technological advancement. This chainsaw is Stage-2 compliant and yet more powerful that its predecessor. It is better balanced and more reliable. So how have ECHO achieved this?

Tough torque from ECHO

ECHO release a new range of innovative brushcutters that raise the standards for professional power equipment.

The SRM-265TES and SRM-300TES brushcutters from ECHO feature a revolutionary new gear head design. This system offers a gear reduction ratio of 1:2.07 - providing outstanding levels of torque even from a modest sized engine. ECHO state that the new system can provide as much as 50% more torque over previous models.

Increased torque means more cutting power and, by installing a thicker line or blade, an operator can tackle a wide range of tasks - all with the same brushcutter. TES models offer unprecedented versatility for the professional operator.
